Update on Winter term 2021

Fall term update: The winter 2021 term U-Pass program has been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Email students.association@norquest.ca for more information.

The U-Pass provides unlimited usage of regular service (excluding special event, contracted and charter service) from Edmonton Transit Service, Fort Saskatchewan Transit, Leduc Transit, Spruce Grove Transit, St. Albert Transit and Strathcona County Transit during the fall term (Aug 25 - Dec 31), winter term (Jan 1 - Apr 30) and spring term (May 1 - Aug 31) to eligible students.

Eligibility

All full-time students of NorQuest College that have paid the on-campus Students’ Association fee and are taking classes within the city limits of the participating municipalities are eligible and are automatically enrolled in the mandatory U-Pass program offered by the Students’ Association of NorQuest College. The fee will be applied when students register for classes.

Cost

The cost of the mandatory U-Pass to each eligible student is $180 per term for each of the terms in the academic year. Fees are non-refundable once the U-Pass sticker is issued. Lost or stolen U-Pass stickers can be replaced at a predetermined pro-rated amount. Contact the Students' Association for more information about lost or stolen U-Pass stickers.

Opting out

Students who have a valid Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) registration, Disabled Adult Transit Service (DATS) registration, Fort Saskatchewan Special Transportation Services Society (STSS) registration, Leduc Assisted Transportation Services (LATS) registration, Spruce Grove Specialized Transit Services (STS) registration or Strathcona County Mobility Bus registration, work for one of the transit services, have a practicum or all classes outside of the service area for longer than eight consecutive weeks, or have received a U-Pass from another participating institution may be eligible to opt out of the U-Pass. Contact the Students’ Association for more information.
